Plan B is a luxury pre-wedding photoshoot designed for couples seeking an elegant and deeply authentic Kyoto experience in Japan.
Your day begins with hotel pick-up and professional kimono dressing, followed by a private photoshoot at a sacred Kyoto temple and two carefully selected traditional locations. You will wear two high-grade bridal kimono, with the second outfit optionally upgraded to an elegant houmongi or furisode for added sophistication.
Between photo sessions, relax inside a historic Kyoto Machiya townhouse, where you will enjoy a simple Japanese lunch and have the option to experience an intimate tea ceremony creating naturally beautiful and emotional moments beyond posed photography.
The shoot is led by award-winning photographer Yusei Kawashima, with over 300 high-quality photo cuts provided, including 10 premium retouched images suitable for international photo competitions. An English-speaking local assistant and private vehicle transfers ensure a smooth, comfortable, and stress-free experience.
Together with all inclusions from Plan A, this luxury plan offers a refined and unforgettable way to capture timeless memories in Kyoto.

Professional kimono specialists at Bishoen will prepare you in authentic luxury wedding kimono with full hair and makeup styling.
Once the preparation is complete, Photo session will begin.
Location 1 – Photography Session
Begin your photoshoot at a private temple or iconic Kyoto heritage location normally closed to the public.
Mid-session break and Change Outfit at Machiya
Relax in a beautifully restored Kyoto machiya townhouse.
Change into your second kimono outfit and enjoy a light lunch.
Location 2 – Machiya Interior Photoshoot
After lunch, continue your photoshoot inside the traditional machiya.
No relocation is required.
Second Outfit Change (Machiya)
Prepare for your next look inside the machiya.
Tea Ceremony Experience
Enjoy a traditional Kyoto tea ceremony inside the machiya townhouse. This optional experience can be decided on the day, depending on your schedule and personal preference.
